Conservatives are against Change. They want things to stay the way they are. They are against changing the health care system. They are against changing the marriage laws. That is why we call them "Conservatives".

Thanks to Obama, the gay marriage debate has been elevated. Jay-Z recently came out and said that opposing gay marriage is discrimination.

 

We ought to take on the plight for the rights of gays to marry just as we would for:

  • end slavery
  • women to have the right to vote
  • ending segregation

If two people love each other, why would we want to discourage them from entering a permanent union?
