GOP Congresswoman: I Opposed Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) Because It Protected Too Many Groups
Republican Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn from Tennessee made an appearance on MSNBC and was asked why she voted against the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA). Blackburn explained that she did not like the Senate version of the bill because it diluted funding. She went on to explain that she specifically didn’t like that it was “expanded to include other different groups”.
