Dennis Rodman Urges White House To Call North Korean Leader
In an interview conducted on ABC News’ ‘This Week’, Dennis Rodman spoke about his experience in North Korea with the dictator Kim Jong Un. “He want Obama to do one thing: Call him.” Rodman had spent two days inside the country, spending time with Kim Jong Un and calling his time with him a “Great experience.” Rodman praises the North Korean leader, calling him a “Great guy.” Rodman is quick to distinguish his praise on the North Korean leader’s character versus the human rights record of the brutal regime.
“He’s my friend.” Said Rodman in the interview. “I don’t condone what he does, but as far as from person to person? He’s my friend.”
In response to the trip Dennis Rodman took to North Korea, the White House issued a statement. “Instead of spending money staging sporting events, the North Korean regime should focus on the well being of its own people who have been starved, imprisoned and denied their human rights.” North Korea has also recently made headlines for recently conducting a nuclear test, and for calling the United States the sworn enemy of the North Korean people.
