Glenn Beck Goes On Paranoid Rant About Gun Control, Slavery, Education
In a long winded rant on his own program that touched on Gun Control, Slavery and Education, Glenn Beck indirectly accuses the government of actively pursuing a policy of gun control that will lead to slavery. Beck then tries to link gun control to oppressive laws of post civil war 19th century Mississippi, citing 1865 “black codes” that prevented African-Americans from owning a gun. Beck loosely asserts that a decline in education is rendering children illiterate, and that increased gun control and a lack of literacy were the two methods employed by an oppressive federal government in order to keep people enslaved.
